Totally feel ya. I’ve found myself sitting in a chair for a straight 48 hours working on the same two minute loop, parameter by parameter.

Anything to bring good ol’ Felix back, then we might get some results lol.
DJs are most absolutely artists, but many mainstream DJs just play the same tracks, so you have to consider that success doesn’t necessarily mean good art. Granted, they got where they did, but popular DJs unfortunately just become a reflection of underground’s top 40. I don’t want to hear four ppl’s version of bass cannon in the same night, it gets old. Especially when it continues to happen at the next major event.
DJs like Madlib, specifically the Medicine Show series, is a clear demonstration of what the art should be. If you can DJ Brazilian Funk for an hour, you’ve got my voucher.
